Jordan Times, 9 May, 2016:  LafargeHolcim Jordan's strong commitment to the principles of sustainable development and its keenness to strengthen its strategic partnership with the Royal Society for the conservation of Nature (RSCN), which started in 2007, led to the signing of two agreements.

Amr Reda Country Chief Executive Officer inked the agreements on behalf of LafargeHolcim Jordan, and Chairman of the Board Khaled Irani signed for RSCN.

The first agreement is designed to support a development project on tourism guidance methods and environmental education at the Dana Nature Reserve, while the second agreement allows the RSCN to use the "Lahza" rest house, owned by LafargeHolcim, as an observation station.

The relationship between LafargeHolcim Jordan and RSCN dates back to 2007, when a cooperation agreement and partnership was signed to support RSCN's projects in the Dana Nature Reserve and to raise environmental awareness among the residents, as well as to activate the private sector's role in environmental awareness and preservation of bio-diversity.
